Just gotten a police caution, want to move to Canada in a few years :(
Hello all,
So I've gotten myself into a bit of trouble. Basically I've been given a police caution after exchanging some heated emails with a former classmate after a falling out, and she went and reported them to the police! Anyway I signed a caution saying that I sent her a rude email and now I feel like I've really messed up. I actually asked the police officer in charge of the case and he said it shouldn't be an issue as it's a very minor caution. But I didn't believe him.
I really want to move to Canada in a few years time, I'm not sure when. Luckily the work I do (photographer/ filmmaker) don't normally require a DBS checks. So working wise I'll be fine, and I want to set up my own production business and hopefully bring it over to Canada.
It's just I'd rather know now what I can do to help my case? I'll be so gutted if I can't move, work, let alone visit Canada because of a stupid online fight I had with a fellow student.
Can anyone give me any advice?
