Job Offer.....what to do?

Job Offer.....what to do?
Hi there
As a family we have been out here in NS since the summer on study and work permits (expire July 2005).
Husband is studying at the local community college (diesel engines). Amazingly (as he is doing really well on his course) he was offered a teaching position (1 day a week) at the community college teaching an 'Introduction to diesel engines' course to grade 11 & 12's from local schools. He has a study permit as well as a work permit so this is fine. The head of the college has already told him that they want him there permanently and to increase his teaching once he completes his studies and he is now on their payroll.
We have still yet to apply for PR.....we will go down the skilled worker route shortly. Now although this job is not HRDC approved do you think that this job will speed up our applications at all when we apply?? (probably not!)
I am also wondering if the Provincial Nominee programme may be a possibility but cannot seem to find out if the job has to be full time to qualify for this?
Although we have the funds put aside in our bank account for PR application is it only the proof of a HRDC approved job that enables you to not necessarily have the $19,000 + put aside as proof of funds or would the proof of job on work permit be satisfactory??
Thank you in advance
Carolyn

Hi,
If the job is not HRSDC validated, I don't think it will speed up your federal skilled worker application. If the employer is interested to assist your husband with his permanent residence application and offer him a permanent job once he landed, maybe you could consider the Nova Scotia PNP program for skilled workers. I am not familiar with it, but details can be found at:

good luck!
