I would like to make inquiries re: Independent immigrant visa. I have a copy of the
Independent Application checklist but I would like to clarify about the form IMM
0008. How can I get hold of this form? How long will the processing take? In case my
visa is approved, how long is the period of validity from the time of approval?

An IMM0008 is the Application for Permanent Residence in Canada. It is available on
the net at http://www.cic.gc.ca

The length of processwing wil. depend on where you live but count on atleast one
year. Visas are valid for one year and the expiry date is calculated form the date on
which you do a medical examination
