yeah im just at 10 weeks today. I rang them again yesterday to see if there was any problems and they said they were still going through the police check. I sent that off with the rest of my application so i've no idea why thats taking so long. I've not done anything illegal that would jeopardise my visa either.
What number are you calling? I'm having a hard time finding out how to contact someone.

Hi folks,
Just received my POE today!!
I had my confirmation of documents received on April 5th, and had the work permit email this morning. It took 46 days. my current visa ends in 6 days so JUST in the nick of time!!
I submitted a case specific enquiry a few days ago, but also kept calling the call centre +1 (888) 242-2100 (then option 3,2,0 to get to an operator). I eventually got through and was on hold for 20 minutes. I said to the agent that my visa expires soon and I'm just super worried, she then said she can send an email with a note to the office and that was three days ago. I called again the next day and the next day and just pestered them asking the same thing, but was very polite. I honestly think this helped push it through and would still be waiting now if not.

hmm, that does sound plausible. Sucks I cant do anything apart from checking my email and waiting.

looking at your sig youre not that far behind me if you subbed the police check on the 19th. i had all my docs lined up so i sent them all off on the 15th.

I guess so! I actually don't mind if it's later, because that means I can save up more money once they approve. Still kills to wait. Thanks for the info.

Got a quick question. Got my LOI and it's valid until April of next year but I become overaged September of this year and I do not expect to activate my letter until February 2016. Does the age requirement only factor into the application that is a soon as you have the letter the only requirement is you activate it before it expires?

Does anyone have a phone number for the office? My sister applied in the first round and has heard nothing; her application online hasn't been updated to say they're looking at it. She can't find a phone number, I can't find a number, and we're both concerned about the lack of progress, especially considering I'm renting an expensive two bedroom apartment awaiting her arrival.

Also, there are loads of people from April still waiting so I wouldn't say her situation is anything out of the ordinary.
