But she was querying the use of 'POE' as it's not in the right context - POE stands for Port of Entry, so probably isn't what you meant!!

Siouxie was asking Cray rather than you - if you look at the 'quote' section of her post, that will tell you who she is responding to.

Re: IEC 2014
Hi Everyone,
Very randomly last week I decided I'd had enough of my job and that i would like to travel for a while and maybe settle down in another country.
So I do some research and decide Canada would be an awesome place to live. After speaking to a friend i found out about the IEC and he explained that 2 out of the 3 batches had already been closed.
I rushed along to try and get everything sorted for an application. I've gone with Visamigrate.com and so far they have been very professional. All my required documents have been submitted and they are awaiting the opening of round 3 for applications.
Now my questions are...
--Does anyone know when the round is likely to open?
--Has anyone used visamigrate before?
--Would there still be time to apply now (friends)
I'll probably think of more but they will do for now!
Thanks for reading if you got this far, and thanks in advance for a comments.

Using them gives you no advantage, in fact personally I think it will give you a disadvantage - are they going to be refreshing the page every minute ready to apply as you would do?!?
It's not too late for your friends to get ready to apply, although they'll need to get their skates on, and keep their fingers crossed - chances are that the next lot of visas will be snapped up by people who tried to get visas in the first and second rounds, and therefore have already set up their accounts, giving them a bit of an advantage time wise.
HTH, best of luck with your app and

I truly hope they didn't charge you a lot of money for this.

Oh Dear this is not what i wanted to hear.
They are charging quite a lot. £300 upfront and £300 once everything is done. Maybe I could cancel with them and get my application in ASAP.
I provided them with the following...
--Photo of passport
--CV
--Proof of Funds
--Proof of address
Is this all I would need to set-up my own application?
Also do those who missed out before get preference when applying again?
Thanks again
Chris

Just tried to create a Kompass account but the website states..
The 2014 International Experience Canada (IEC) initiative with United Kingdom is currently closed, and will re-open shortly. We encourage you to check the updates on our website regularly.
Is this a random thing, or do they do this when the next round is due to begin?
Thanks

That is the normal page whilst they are between rounds. You need to keep a good watch on it, last round I believe all the places went in about 7 minutes.
You will also need a Police Certificate for any country that you have lived in for more than 6 months, other than Canada, since the age of 18.
If you look at the documents list here - http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca...ed-requis.aspx - they tell you what you will need.

Re: IEC 2014
OK I'll give them a call tomorrow and find out what can be done.
As for the Kompass account, do they open up registrations just before the next batch?
I turned 30 in December so i don't think I'll be eligible by the time they do the next batch in December 2014.
Failing this I'll try for NewZeland, need to go somewhere!! lol
And thanks for the replies Siouxie :-D
