I bet it is not Canada, but treacherous leeches, known
as "immigration consultants"

I pay $200 monthly, both dental & medical, for a family of three. It is
not nearly as bad as you want it to be.
FYI 200US is about the same as 50% of my monthly income tax deduction. I dont want it to be bad, in fact I dont really care either way, all I was doing was pointing out that there are additional expenses in the states that mean you cannot directly compare taxation levels.

I hear schools in Canada are not any better and it does make sense
since Canada is the little sister copy cat of the US..
Canadian education (literacy and comprehension levels) are consistently top of the class in world terms, check out
http://nces.ed.gov/surveys/internati...catorNumber=40
or
http://www.ets.org/news/02021801.html

In what way is canada copying the US? For example, I dont think french immersion is a big thing south of the border!

The world works for the US, that is the reason..
You misunderstand I think, I was not refering to the balance of payments(exports vs imports) but to the huge difference between what the government spends, and what it raises in revenue. If the US was a person, they would have been declared bankrupt by now. All governments do this to some extent, but the US is really pushing the envelope in this area.

Last May in Vancouver I was astounded to see so many beggers I felt like
in San Francisco..
Hey, no one said it was perfect, Unfortunately there are homeless people in every country i have visited. At least these beggars can get basic healthcare (in most cases).

One should always have a backup.

Same in the USA..

Than what the hell are you doing in Canada ?
Again, I think you missed my point, I am in Canada because wild horses could not drag me back to life in the UK.

Not at all - they were official governmt emissaries/diplomats/ who
advertised how they needed good, educated people in Quebec !!

No, months. The whole thing is gonna be less than a year for me
because it is based on advanced degree.

Austin,
would you mind if I asked how exactly have you done that,
did you use national interest waiver?
Thank you,
