How express entry works for software development professionals
Hi everyone,
Just dropping in a message to check if anyone has any insights into what companies review profiles of express entry applicants and what skills are in demand. My skill is .NET developer and occupation is 2173 with 10+ years of experience.
1. Do multinationals like Microsoft, Accenture, CA, etc. look at/obligated to look at the resource pool?
2. Also I cannot understand how software companies will benefit from this scheme as even if they like a candidate in the express entry pool, that candidate cannot be available for them quickly.
Any experiences regd this profession.
cheers

Hi, and welcome to BE.
So far I've not heard of any employers picking from the pool, for any occupation. I don't think it's terribly likely unless you've got very specialist skills, so personally I'd look to get a 'normal' job offer.
That way, you can go out there almost immediately on a TWP so the employer doesn't have to wait for you, and you'd get an extra 600 points for EE so would get picked and given an ITA.
Good luck.
