Need advise on how to get my girl friend to Canada, we went through the normal
channels for a visa and she was turned down, not enough reason to return to
Philippines? we have been talking for almost a year and would like to meet and
possibly more. What if I went there or to a safer environment we hit it off as
expected and get engaged or married would that make it easier for her to come to
Canada? ......thanks for any help Ewan

Should you both decide to engage or marry, you could sponsor her for Canadian
permanent residency as a fiancee, or you could wait until you are married and sponsor
her as a spouse.

Suggest that you go to visit her since it appears that you have never met. If after
meeting you decide that you want to marry, then you could return to Canada and
sponsor her. It is very unlikely that she will get a visitor's visa for Canada.
