Default got a letter!

Just got a letter today, a month after PR application was submitted, to say I am eligible to sponsor my boyfriend and the application has been sent to BUFFALO????????????? I'm baffled by this revelation! He's an Irish citizen, and therefore, shouldn't the application be sent to London? Can anyone help explain this?!

Assuming you are c/law spouses, never refer to him/her as boy/girl friend it gets CHC thinking it is not c/law. It you requested London, then CIC made a mistake, but if he was admitted to Canada for a year, then Buffalo is a lot closer than London if an interview is required. If you want it transferred to London, inform both Mississauga and Buffalo. Both offices have the same processing time.

I always refer to him as my common-law partner with CHC. We are living in Canada and he's Irish. We applied as an outside Canada application which I thought automatically meant it would go to London. I didn't specify a location, because, a: there was nowhere to declare such a thing, and b: I thought it would be automatic because of our circumstances and his being from Ireland. Now I'm confused! I heard London is the fastest but looking at the website, they look like they ahve the same processing times. I just hope it doesn't get sent back later.
