Great, Today on 27th jan 2004, I received stamped passport with immigrant visa for my family and myself from Buffalo. We mailed that packet on 20th Jan 2004, well 7 to 8 days were not bad at all.

One more intersting step/turn in life.....

applied in March 2002, AOR -Aug 2002, Medical request/interview waiver-Oct 2003, Medical sent Nov 2003. Passport request Feb 2004......

Indian national, 10 years in USA, still on H1B visa for few more months ....what a great relief.

Yes, there is mix up.....packet was mailed on 20th Feb 2004 only reached there on 21st (Friday), visa stamp date is 24th Feb, mailed back on 26th received back on 27th feb 2004.

Total 7 days....Andrew is right, CIC folks are not slow, if things are in order, they seem to work pretty efficiently, rather fast...

I asked my son to support only canadian hockey teams onwards in my house.....
