Hi every one Finally it is my turn now to say 'GOT IT', it took quite a while,
though. But it was worth waiting approx. 40 months. Many thanks to: Andrew Miller,
Campbell Cohen, Jim Metcalfe, R. B. Global Immigration, Jim Humphries and all those
who replied my postings with incredibly helpful advice. My time line and brief about
my self is as follows:
Citizen: Nepal Profession: IT Education: BS degree + MCSE Experience: More than 5 yrs
experience as Engineer - IT Support (Network + Desktop) Planning to land in Toronto
early next year with my wife and daughter.
TIME LINE May 1998 : Lodged application Jun 1998 : Received AOR Jan 00 : Received a
letter mentioning about backlog and if I wished to transfer my file? March 01 :
Received a letter conforming an interview on ?/4/01 April 01 : Attended interview -
was told that I was short on points and needed Programme managers approval on
positive discretion. April 01 : Received a letter asking for Police certificate and
photos of dependents. April 01 : Made an application and had fingerprints taken for
Australian police certificate. May 01 : Received a letter from Police advising that
the certificate had been forwarded to CIC Sydney on 4/5/01 May 01 : Sent photos and
old police certificate from Nepal June 01 : Received medical forms!!! June 01 : Had
medical done and sent processing fees for spouse/dependents as well as ROLF for
spouse and my self. July 01 : Sent a letter to the Consulate, Sydney to let them know
that my passport has been sent to Japan for renewal. Sept 01 : Sent copy of my new
passport. Sept 01 : Received a call that visa was approved and was asked to pick it
up(Thank U Jesus!!) - yesterday Sept 01 : Picked up visa (today).
Thank you again for all your help and support.

Félicitations! comme on dit ici au Québec.
As you know I applied to the Sydney consulate and had to wait, not as long as you
though but it still seemed a lifetime. Good luck in Canada, it must be a mighty
relief for you.
