Getting a Work Permit post-PR application
#1
I am in the process of getting a job in Alberta in my profession with the employer satisfied with my skills and experience. But the HRDC approval and the susequent work permit is going to take atleast 2 months, I was told.
Please let me know how long it normally takes for the HRDC approval and subsequently the canadian work permit. Is a work visa denial possible given the fact that my PR application is being processed and if yes then what is the probability of denial?
Thanx for any help.

Your question has been already answered yesterday.
Your problem is that you are using britishexpats.com to access our newsgroup and it
is not reliable method at all.
The newsgroup we all are participating in is called misc.immigration.canada and can
be accessed through your own ISP's news server or through one of many web based
interfaces to Usenet, like for example www.google.com
Britishexpats is only pulling out some (not all) posts from this newsgroup and this
is why you often can't see answers posted through regular news servers. Ditch
britishexpats and go to www.google.com and look for misc.immigration.canada
newsgroup. Or simply subscribe to this newsgroup through Outlook Express or any other
news reader - it is free.
