a few quick questions PLEASE!!
I am filling in the forms for my husbands extention of his vistor status on
the basis that we are applying for me to sponser him from inland.
What date do I put to extend his stay to as it is indefinate due to the
nature of the application process for sponsership??
AND>>
Can I submit the sposership forms at the same time or do we have to wait for
approval for his extention?? (if I can submit at the same time will they
automatically extend his stay??)
Thanks in advance!!

Re: a few quick questions PLEASE!!
normally they extend it for a standard 6 months although a couple of inland
people have recently have been given a years extension i guess because of
the large delays. Im not sure what you write maybe just ask for as long as
possible or ust ask for 6 months and see what they give you, i think the
people who got a year asked for 6 months originaly.
You can file your PR application as soon as you have it completed and ready
to go. the visitor visa extension is seperate and should be mailed like a
month or so before his status expires but you can file the PR application
whenever you like.

I would ask for at least one year

Yes you may but in separate envelopes.
There is nothing automatic about immirgation . You must ask and pay
for every action.
You may also be interested in an article on page 3 in todays Toronto
Star about the backlog in Vegreville. If you are not in Toronto please
contact me by email direct and i will fax or email you a copy of the
article. (No I am not trolling for business)
GIven the delays in Vegreville you may want to consider filing his
application at a Visa Office it is now faster depending on where your
spouse originates.
