Hello Experts:

Please provide some insight into my simple problem.
I would like to notify Buffalo of a change in address effective immediately.
Unfortnately, my attempts to send a fax to the number I received on my initial assesment letter have been fruitless. I have been trying for the past 4 days now, but nothing goes through.

Has the fax number for Buffalo changes???

the number i am trying is 716-855-0512

Please help.

Yes that's exactly the fax nb i have in the "change of Address Notice" form.
I received this form along with the file number in their 1st correspondence to me after i sent my application. Note that the very top of this form says URGENT FAX. Do not forget to put your file number when sending your address change.

Hi,

Why don't you try to change your address using online service. It's easy and really quick way of doing it. Later you can send the same by regualr mail.

I am not sure about this suggestion. I understand from the poster that s/he is still has not gotten yet the PR from Buffalo. Like i said, in their first correspondence to me after i sent my application, they sent me a form for an address change. I guess you can put your address online for a canadian address where you should receive your PR card.

Hello:

I cannot change my address using the online services as that only relates to processing within Canada.
If a case is being processed outside of Canada (i.e. Buffalo in my case) then i have to inform them via FAX or mail.

I have been trying to FAX them the "CHANGE IN ADDRESS" form for the whole week now and no luck. I was just wondering if anyone else is also having problems sending fax to Buffalo.

Seems that there fax number isnt working.

Thanks for the fax number Pattu.
I was able to send a fax to the number you indicated without a problem.
However, that is not the same fax number i had on my 'address change' form. I guess they changed the fax number in the recent past.

I Faxed them the "CHANGE IN ADDRESS" form to 716-852-2477 last December and that worked.
It's recorded on my CAIPS file and they sent me a letter to my new address.
