Express Entry System
Are they likely to allow you to start filling in the online stuff before January 1st or is it a case that loads of people will crash the system in one fell swoop on 1st January.

Nobody has a clue I'm afraid, but I doubt the system will crash on 1st January as there will no doubt be hoops to jump through first (various documents to obtain etc), and it's likely that a lot won't be eligible.
Just keep an eye on the CIC website and good luck.

The system can crash all it wants on 1 January as no CIC employees will be working. As its a Thursday Im guessing a few will also take Friday off as well and then its the weekend so expect nothing to happen until around the 5th January then the system will suffer a potential meltdown.
