Default Expert Miller or other: Urgent help needed regarding visitor status extension

Hi Experts:

Recently my parents applied for extension of their visitor status but
were refused by Vegreville case center for no explicit reasons. This
is their second time extension and they have been in Canada for almost
one year. I am wondering if they re-submit their application before
their expiration date which is the end of this month, will this cause
future problem if they want to apply visitor or immigration visa
overseas? I know they can wait in Canada until getting the decision
letter from Vegreville even pass the expiration date with no problem
according to immigration Act. However I am not sure if this will cause
future problems because the call center (1-888 number) people told me
the immigration officer may put in record into their system saying my
parents did not leave on time, because they already told them to do so
in the current reject letter.

I would like to get your advice as early as possible so we can decide
whether reapply or leave.

Thanks.

If circumstances remain the same then re-applying for extension is pointless
as it will be refused again. Sending application for extension doesn't make
your parents status valid - it will only be implied status and once
application is refused again your parents are out of status since the
expiration of their last valid status and deportation process may be
initiated. They may later face problems with applications abroad and may
even be banned for some period from Canada.
