Engineering jobs in Canada
Hi everybody
I am planning to move to Canada with my wife from the UK; we are in the process
of applying through CRC London.
I would be grateful if anybody out there can give me the state of electronic
engineering jobs in canada.
Are there demands for the jobs, any info. on which recruitment agencies that
cater for engineering.
Also which provinces that most likely has a demand for engineers.
Many thanks
Neil and Sandra

Beware of using the International salary calculator though on the Gov Canada site. You still have to convert to "real" currency exchange values and I have had many people say how way off base it is in Vancouver particularly. A 40kGBP salary comes out at 29kGBP from memory...but this equates to about $60,000. Unless you are a very very lucky dude, with amazing credentials, you won't earn anywhere near that as a new immigrant. Our standard of life went down significantly, because we lost our earning power. It may well be different for you because you have a specific skill which I assume you can transfer and get registration for in the province of your choice. I would check directly with the various registration bodies though, as they may not accept your training as equivalent. There are many posters who are finding this out the hard way - me included.
