Default ECA assessment

We are starting the EE process (finally) and now have ielts booked and need to send off my husbands NVQs for ECA assessment. Can anyone advise which of the recommended bodies to send his paperwork to? He's got NVQ levels 1-3 in HVAC (pipe fitter). Some of them say they are for federal skilled workers but then further down say they don't assess vocational studies so slightly confusing! Thank you in advance

NVQs are not assessed, no vocational, or trade certificates are assessed. He would need to contact the trade body in your destination province, register and apply to challenge the interprovincial exam (some call it the Red Seal exam, which it is not). He can study anywhere, but the exam has to be taken in the province. Would need 1.5 hours experience x the number of qualifying hours for the apprenticeship. Ball park, around 9000 hours provable work experience.

He would likley have to do plumbing, Heating Technician is no longer offered, in the provinces it was offered is it will be deactivated June 30, 2017. No more applications being accepted.
