Illegals cost money to legitimate residents in many countries. Ironically this is one reason many give for leaving the UK. Illegals are breaking the law, why should they not be reported, as with anyone breaking the law?

Illegals also make it harder for legitimate immigrants, taking resources that could be diverted into legal immigration. If someone has the skills Canada wants, they should go through the process everyone else has to go through.

They could get on with their lives in their home country and be left alone there!

my honest opinion is that if they want to risk everything (and not just themselves - bloody kids as well) then fine - I just hope they are fully aware of the consequences.

I do however believe that there is more to this than meets the eye - as Amy said there is no way immigration would have let them in knowing their intentions without the correct permits.

Most of this is all conjecture (always wanted to use that word!) anyway because we only have one side to a story.

I have begin to understand that they are in Canada just to test the water and to see if it is the place for them. I guess they have re-think their options and have therefore decided to return to the UK to put in their application for PR. I am glad they have finally reach a sensible decision. Anyway, thank you all for your contribution. At least, your contributions have enlighten myself as well, so that i could better advice some of my family member back in UK about coming to Canada to study.
