Hi all, My wife has a son from her first mariage. Do we have to obtain a permit from
her fromer husband for his immigration.

Yes, father of your wife's son must signed a notarized consent allowing the child to
be taken out of the home country.

Thank you for your response. I have one more question.
The father of mywife's son have already signed permit allowing the child to be taken
out to Canada . I am currently in Canada on empl. authorization. Does he have to sign
a consent again.

If the consent is notarized and allows child to be taken to Canada permanently (not
only temporary) then there is no need for another one, just submit the existing one.
