Dependant again!!
This is a long one so please bear with me...
I have said previously that my daughter is not coming with us as her father will not allow it until she is 18.
She is on the paperwork, and will be having her medical with us, do I simply just check the box that says non-accompanying?
Does her father have to sign anything saying she is not coming and does it have to be notorised?
Another thing I was wondering....obviously due to COVID-19 I’d pressume it’s going to take a lot longer than 12 months for our application to be approved, which would make her 18. Could I put her down as accompanying on our application and then she follows after us when she’s ready, as long as it is in the timeframe before CoPR expires? Does she have to land with us? How long do you generally get from receiving it to land? Could she soft land and then
come back, and then re enter Canada when she’s ready? I’m trying to find the easiest way for her, and since she’s already named and taking the medical I wondered if what I thought of was an option?
Any help in any of this would be invaluable.

Might be an idea to add a separate single page explaining the circumstances that your husband will not agree to her going until she is 18 and that you will apply specifically for her once she is 18.

You can apply as a new application for her when she is 18 and not before (and therefore does not require your ex-husbands agreement etc.).
It will then likely take 12 months for her application to be processed and a CoPR to be issued. She must land in Canada before the expiry date of her CoPR (which is normally - but not always - 1 year after the date of the medical).

Hurlabrick thank you. I did think I would have to apply once she’s 18 but thought I would double check.
Will she be allowed to visit whilst her application is in process?
