Criminal Rehabilitation (CR)
Hi Jim Humpries, NSPaul, PMM, Chumley and others who have experience it CR application,
need your advice on whether to send in an application for CR. My conviction dated back to 12 years ago, and my police cert has come back with NO ENTRIES. One conviction, no drug, no assault or weapon involved, just a period when I was stupid and adventurous. Wrong place at the wrong time.
My question to you guys is should I send my CR application in now while my PR application is in the queue or just hold off until the 90 days letter is received, and then mention about the offence.
Thanks.

There are a few issues about rehabilitation. For instance how old were you at the time of the offense? What are the exact details and how was it dealt with under the law? It might be easy but it in any case it will take some time.

please use the search engine for "rehabilitation"
I posted a lot of information and links on this subject less than a month ago
can't advise you any more at the mo' as you haven't provided all the information about the offence you committed, when it was, your age, the facts of the case (need to be able to locate the equivalent Canadian offence), the court sentence, etc
suffice to say, it is possible you may already be a "deemed rehabilitation" case
