Couple of questions regarding school...
Hey all,
So i'm looking at applying for sait and starting this fall, i'm 28, I plan on having a strong SOP to ensure i get my visa, how important is this and how much detail should i go into?
Funds aren't an issue.
Second question is, IELTS, being born in England and having quite a clear understanding of the language (I have all my grades in school) do i still have to take the IELTS or not? seems like a waste of money to me...
I have noticed alot of people from different countries try and get visas and get rejected because of the ties to their home country, mainly India etc.
I assume that being from England doesn't boost the chances of getting a student visa?
Think that's about it for now! thanks in advance for anyone who replies.

LMGTFY:
Apply—Study permits
International Students | SAIT Polytechnic | Calgary, Alberta
HTH.
And no, being from England has no bearing on your chances.

Okay thats great but i've hit a wall, i'm trying to put in my school information, obviously my grades aren't recognized by Canada institutes. Is there anyway i can get these changed over without actually being in Canada?

Not sure if it helps or not, but I was looking to do a course where I had to get my English qualifications recognized. I'm using WES, they will actually assess your English qualifications Good Luck

We still had to the the IELTS for our visa even though we have degrees from the UK. Crazy world!
