Default Citizenship

We are about are looking into citizenship, will of been PR's 5 years in March. If we apply now in January my son turns 18 in June, would this affect his application status or mean we would have to pay for him as an adult?

Default Re: Citizenship

If when your application is signed/received, your son is a minor, then he is still assessed as a minor during processing.

"To apply, a minor must be less than 18 years old on the day the application is signed. If an applicant turns 18 during the processing of the application, the applicant is still assessed against the requirements for a grant of citizenship as a minor."

Citizenship grants: Minors
