CIC Citizenship timelines

Re: CIC Citizenship timelines
Well.... blow me down.... I sent my complaining letter off this morning at 10am. At 11am CIC called me and told me that my application had been approved and that I just needed to wait for my letter to invite be to the ceremony.
Obviously the two events are not connected but maybe the CIC have NSA like resources... hmmmm.
Its been 14 months since I heard anything about my application. Thats some coincidence
Anyway... Chuffed

Flexsingh - when did you do your test and produce your documents? We were in Scarborough on Saturday 7 March but haven't heard about ceremony yet.

Re: CIC Citizenship timelines
I had my test (Scarborough) March 23, and received the letter for Oath April 15th.
I met another guy who also had his test on that same March 7th I think, he was about 2 weeks before me and he is still waiting for his Oath letter to come through

There are four of us so perhaps if you are solo, it's easier to fit you in. We were told to expect to get a letter within 2-4 months, with 10 days notice of ceremony.

Re: CIC Citizenship timelines
ah yes I am a single applicant so maybe that's why.
I asked the lady at the test the timelines and she said although they say within 2-4months its usually the earlier

Re: CIC Citizenship timelines
So we have our full timeline:
Mailed application June 2014
Test and documents (Scarborough) 7 March 2015
Oath ceremony (Oshawa) will be 25 May 2015
So just under a year from start to finish.
