Unhappy CEC vs FSW Proof of funds

Hi y'all,

I have declared on my EE I have $5000 in funds. I am still eligible for CEC and hoping for an ITA in the next draw.

I currently live in NZ and do not have a Canadian job offer or LMIA.

Is there a bug in the system or do I require the min landing funds of $12,000 as you do with FSW?

Do I simply have to declare that I have $5000 as stated on my EE?

(FYI I have called CIC and they told me to complete the form...it's been a week and still no answer...any experience from you lot?)

I'm applying for EE under CEC and have received my ITA. I'm on an existing TFW Permit with job and LMO, so they shouldn't have been asking for Proof of Funds, yet the online form still requires it and a call to the Helpline resulted in them saying I had to provide Proof of Funds.

But providing the proof of funds does that mean the full cut off amount of ~$12000 or just what you declared on EE?

They told me to prove the figure I declared, which in my case was a lot more than that (proceeds from a house sale), so I don't know what figure they are actually looking for in terms of it being a qualifying amount.

For CEC you aren't supposed to require that proof anyway...

The best thing you can do is give them another call.

Hmmm. Ok, maybe that's the difference then.

If I type $20,000, say, I am eligible for CEC AND FSW. If I just put the $5000 I have it says I am still eligible for CEC.

Ugh. Love how vague these guys are! Thanks for your help though
