As for saying the wrong thing and giving out misinformation - are there any other kind of politicians?

Latest timeline:
When we applied: (Pre June 2010)
(London Visa Office)
Now looking at maybe (if we are lucky and they don't add more months later down the line) getting PR around November 2012.
If they keep adding months at the same rate as they have done on each update we will never get PPR.
I'm getting past caring now. If it happens it does, if not then hey! life will go on.
CIC have certainly made the whole affair far more mind numbing that's for sure.
Now it's getting silly!!
When we applied: (Pre June 2010)
One more change like that and it will have gone from just over a year to 2 years
The sad thing is as the months go by London add more months, so we aren't getting any closer to PR
When we applied: (Pre June 2010)
- Processing time: 13 months
- Later changed to 16 months
- Recently changed to 20 months.

It has got to be better than this terrible waiting and not knowing when it will all end, especially for pre-Feb 2008 applicants, who have been getting e-mail responses saying that there is no plan to process their applications at the moment at all.
It is a little different for us because now we have the TWP until October 2013 we have time to wait and see what Cat 2 delivers and if it looks dodgy nearer the time we can do PNP then.
We still have the worry about job security issue of course but then we were prepared to accept some risk just to be together again as a married couple.
I hope everyone gets good news eventually but how long the wait will be is anybody's guess and it might just be a bridge too far for some people.

Re: Average processing times updated today on CIC website
Actually we are busy stashing cash to go down the business PNP route for BC. If we hit the target we'll go down that route. We meet all the criteria for business experience, business ownership etc. Flying out in Jan and will attend one of the business seminars and have the attendance recorded as part of us building up towards that route.
If we get FSW then fine we'll be we'll be pretty flush.
I do agree though. Our FSW experience through London has been abysmal. I don't care about the why's and wherefores. Canada's record as a supposed civilised nation is very poor when it comes to how it treats immigration applications for skilled workers.

Me and my partner said the same thing. When I got my job offer for Montreal back in May, we were SOO excited about starting a new life in Canada. Well now, 6 months down the line, and no idea if/when we can go to Canada and we have lost all excitement, the wind has totally been blown out and we are just bored with the whole process, not to mention how it has currently messed up ur lives at the moment.

I am also a bit confused.
It says passed, refused and the final figure (Visa issued) is much larger than the 'Passed' figure. Can you explain what the figures mean becuase I am clearly missing something?
Is this London only?
Thanks for clarifying this for me.
