Attn. Mr A. Miller
Hi Mr Miller,
I shall be proceeding to Toronto having received my visa under skilled
migration. From what I have read on the web site pertaining to
application for health insurance one requires 2 pieces of ID. First of
all do I need to apply immediately after landing as I will be eligible
for health insurance after 3 months.
If yes, one piece of ID could be one's passport, the other should be
an electricity bill or driver's licence, or bank statement.
However as a new immigrant I would me putting up with one of my
family, currently residing, for over 10 years. Hence I would not be in
a position to give the second piece of ID. Please advise.
Thanks and kind regards,
Mince

Re: Attn. Mr A. Miller
Within about 5 or 6 weeks after landing you should receive your permanent
resident card. That is a photo ID and should solve your problem.

Re: Attn. Mr A. Miller
Thanks Jim. One more question, on the Visa sheet they mention DEST
3869 - to what city would this be referring to in Ontario. Again I
assume it should not really matter, if Ottawa was quoted port of
landing on the original application, but one lands in Toronto,
finally.
Thanks.
