Default How you guys get application status from E-status? Pls. advise.

Hello everyone;

I applied in Feb. 02 and got AOR in May 02 but I NEVER GET ANY
PASSWORD. Till now I never and ever see my application status on
E-status. This is URL that I went to
"http://services1.cic.gc.ca/ecas/Secu...e=Security.jsp"

It always showns:
* sponsored a member of the family class
* applied for permanent residence as a member of the family class
* applying for permanent residence from within Canada as the spouse or
common-
law partner of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
* applied as an independant immigrant (for applicants who applied
before January 1, 2002), a Québec skilled worker, a provincial
nominee, a federal skilled worker, an investor, an entrepreneur or a
self-employed person

Are you guys having the same problems or not? I've seen many posts
mentioned that some can't view status because it's not available for
US applicants who locate in the US. It doesn't make any sense because
this website http://www.cic.gc.ca/ is to provide information to
applicants who submitted application to Buffalo, NY.

Please kindly advise how to view my E-status.

Thanks alot,
shakeel

From what I've read on here, I get the feeling that e-client isn't
very reliable. However, in regard to applicants in the independent
category, it does state that only those who applied BEFORE JANUARY 1,
2002 are listed. For family class applications, the information is
supposed to appear much faster. Some people report that it is
necessary to use all capital letters, others say to omit the first
name, so it seems to be a trial & error kind of thing.
