Apply for Citizenship and PR Card?
Hi all,
I will be eligible to apply for both citizenship and the PR card (per
the timeline)in about one month. The citizenship application is a no
brainer.
Do you recommend applying for the PR card as well? Pros and Cons?

Since it takes about 12 months to get your citizenship from application to
oath, if you need to travel, you might want to apply for PR card as well.

Thanks PMM.
That's also what I figured. Now if I understand it right, it is not
required to have a PR card ro re-enter Canada if you cross the border
by personal car after 2003?

You are correct but what happens if you have an emergency elsewhere
and you have to travel urgently.
