Hi everyone,

Please can you offer some advice. I have been offered a temporary (12 month) job in
Toronto for which I should be able gain Employment Authorisation. The question is -
if I like working and living in Canada can I apply for Permanent Residence while in
Canada? If so how do I go about applying?

Many thanks for any responses.

Jack

You would be able to apply for a p.r. visa via the Canadian Consulate Genreral in
Buffalo. Jim Humphries, Former visa officer

Unless substantial Humanitarian and Compassionate grounds exist, it would be
necessary to submit the application to a visa office outside of Canada, at which a
selection interview may be held.
