andrew/jim can i visit canada when my pr is in process?
1. can i visit canada while my pr is in process? i have to apply for a visa. will it be rejected? i have visited canada once in '99. but now i want to go there to figure out relocation.
2. when i got my interview waiver letter, it included my medical report forms+ they had asked me to pay my landing fee. so does this mean, my visa passport request is around the corner?
my aor said they received my application on july 2002.
got the waiver letter in oct. 2003; medicals sent by december 2003; fbi certificate in feb. 2004.

1. You can apply for visitor visa. There is no guarantee that you'll get
one, but after interview waiver and at this stage of PR process it may be
easier.
2. Seems like your process in progressing nicely and is close to conclusion.
Of course you need to remember that "close" in immigration process is a
relative world - it may mean weeks or several months.

i am a student on F1 status and have spring break coming up. i wanted to utilize this period to go and look around for relocating since apparently its not too far away.
so if getting visit visa is not a sure shot, and if they deny it to me, will it reflect on my immigration visa? if that would be the case then i would rather not even apply for it.
tks for your advise.
