After 7 months, we got our PPR!!!
We had our medicals in July 08, and we have been waiting and waiting all this time. Since September '08 we have sent SEVERAL emails to CIC, asking if we had missed any correspondence, as we appear to be waiting a lot longer that other applicants. We only had one reply in November stating my medical had been furthered. That was it, we still did not get any response when we repeatedly queried this and sent a letter.
Well, last week we did get a reply, and the penny dropped! The CIC sincerely apologized when they realised we had not received a letter sent to us in August from the medical section, asking for information on my medical as there was one form missing (the one with height, weight and BP). The DMP immediatley faxed it to the medical section.
The turn around has been super efficient and we received our passport requests TODAY!!!!!! YIPEEE!!. At last, Phew, what a struggle. We can now make plans, plan B can be aborted and off to Canada we go!!
If you think you have been waiting too long, you probably have, keep on emailing till someone gets back to you.
Good luck to all and thank you for the very valuable information posted on this site.
