2 year or 1 year visa??? Help!!!

2 year or 1 year visa??? Help!!!
So I'm a UK citizen and I got my IEC visa permit almost 12 months ago in 2014 but still haven't activated it yet (you have 12 months to enter Canada before it becomes invalid and my flight is in a few days) my question is... When I applied it was supposed to be a 1 year visa but now the programme has changed for 2015 and everyone is issued 2 year visa's does this mean I will be given 2 years when I activate my visa in Canada or 1????
On the document I have it doesn't actually state how long the visa is.
I have already had a 1 year IEC visa in 2013.
