Chap who owns the brilliant little supermarket at the bottom of our block has just told us he is shutting up shop from 30 September.

He has recently been told that his electricity bill is to rise from 280,000 Ft / month to 1.600.000 Ft / month.

No doubt many local shop's and pubs will close down if their power bills rises by 300-400 percent of even higher.

In our tiny little village of less than 600 inhabitants, a bar/restaurant was bought and re-opened earlier this year and a new restaurant opened up in the summer. I can't see either of them staying open over the winter.
