Default Mystery Structure

It was a nice afternoon yesterday so I did a bit of exploring on the bike. I finally got to see what is at the end of the road where I live. Where the houses end it becomes a dirt track which is too rough for a normal car. At the end it meets a slightly better gravel track where I found a strange concreted area, about the size of a football pitch and made up of huge slabs. In the middle there is a large plumbing fitting, something like a valve with a pressure gauge. I wondered if it could be some kind of reservoir?

Those stones look pretty old and well worn.

Initially, I thought oil as there are still working wells in the area though I have never seen the concrete slabs around any of them

Ah, makes sense! So whether oil or something else, it would be a portable area for tankers etc to access the pump.
