We are trying to find out where the local markets are in our area and on what days, also advice as to wether or not they are worth visiting.
We live in Iregszemcse but have no problems with travelling around
On one thread I saw mention of a market at Tapolca on a Friday
We are also aware of Tab -monthly market 1st Wed of Month
Pecs - Sunday market
Toamasi- Thursday
Also interested in finding out secondhand/reclamation shops for buying items for the house, garden etc.Old bricks as well! So any pointers and directions for these would be appreciated. There is one in Deg but we cannot find it
Hopefully someone can give us a list

There is a big Sunday market at Kaposvar. There are actually 2 market places there but the Sunday one is near the Mercedes showroom.

Is that every Sunday?

Yes, except on official holidays and they seem to have quite a few of those here!

Three markets which would be included in a list of markets worth visiting are Siofok on Wednesday and Saturday, Káptalantóti (Tóti) on Sunday and HévÃz on Tuesday, Thursday and saturday. But there are many more.
You will find about a hundred markets listed on this website http://www.programturizmus.hu/tdcate...asar-piac.html, and the Lonely Planets guide lists a few.

Market open days correction.
Meant to say Fonyód not Siófok as the first of the only three markets I have visited.
Siófok does have a Sunday market. http://www.kilitipiac.hu
