Imho Lidl has a British week at least every three months - just like their Italian, Greek, Spanish, American, Mexican, Balkan, Alpine,/German/Bavarian/Swiss etc ... week.
The prices are usually ok (some stuff is of course cheaper in Germany) and I usually look after "maradék" which are priced 30% below the original prices ...
If you're intereted, just look at their pricelist online!

Perfect timing for me is this thread ! I went onto the Hungarian Lidl web site yesterday as I was thinking of bringing some bottles of Baileys to Hungary in a few months to give as gifts to neighbours etc…. but a friend was saying that the Lidl version, Irish cream, was rated higher in reviews and it is considerably cheaper ! I couldn't find it on the Hungarian Lidl site, does anyone know if it is available in Lidl Hungary…. would be pointless bring bottles from the UK if I can get it there !!

The only things we ever need are Marmite (which I get locally easily enough) & Atora which we can't find. Anyway we'll check out Lidl, thanks for the tip!

Heyho, I guess I will have to find a different gift…. maybe original Baileys but I would be surprised if Baileys is not sold in Hungary… may have to look at something completely different !
