Internet Access Suppliers (remote)
We finally got round to getting internet access in our little house on the hill. We have no telephone line so have used a supplier who can get to remote locations via a dish & micro waves.
As their service was friendly & efficient & it works well, I have no hesitation in recommending www.widenet.hu. The charge is about £16 a month.

I have friends in Scotland in a remote location. They had to cancel their dish based internet as they could no longer afford the £80 a month bills! It just shows that it does not have to cost that much.

I think the difference is that ours is beamed from the local town (Tapolca) rather than a satellite based system. It's great to be on line when there.

We have exactly the same set up with http://www.invitel.hu we get a 4Mb connection (and it sits there and rarely deviates), their fastest speed and whilst it is hardly setting the world alight it is quick enough and I use that there interweb a lot... All for the princely sum of 4,600 per month
I have looked at a satellite connection and speed and reliability are said to be superb and whilst the costs have tumbled considerably since first looking 5 years ago the data limits for me would be crippling.

Surprisingly, if memory serves me right, there are areas on the lakeside with internet capability and use a similar system. Glad you got it sorted John.
