You win some, you lose some. It's something one has to learn to live with when resident overseas.

I still got a win here.
My new car being from Czech Republic was priced at equivalent HUF to Euro at the time of order. On arrival at the dealers the latest HUF to Euro exchange rate was used to calculate the balance after deposit. I gained £1,750 .
I mostly try to only convert sterling to HUF when sterling is much stronger but there's occasions I gotta accept the exchange rate when I need HUF.

It's crazy!
In one day the HUF went from 375 for a € to 388 - jumping up and down.
This of course hurts those of our neighbours who like to go shopping in Slovakia - just across the Danube.

Although I've gained £1,750 I've lost £735 on the pre-agreed price for sale of my car! But happy I've still gained.
