For those of you who are thinking of moving to Hungary one of the things I was worried about was detailing with utility companies but I have been pleasantly surprised by the number of English speaking helplines.

Eon - gas and electric
UPC - Internet, TV
Aegon - Car insurance

All of the above I have had to ring and have found to be both polite and helpful.

These English speaking helplines would be useless for me because I'm Deaf! Never mind I'm sure once I move over to Hungary I'll have an army of family and friends willing to help sort out anything! :-)

That's great but I can always rely on my wife because she is Hungarian so whilst she is dealing with all things Hungarian .... I'll be enjoying drinking palinka!
