Weekly Currency Update GBP/EUR - Week ending 12th March
Hi All,
As promised here’s a brief update on what’s been happening with the Euro over the last week.
Although the Greek crisis has subsided, the autopsy has begun with Angela Merkel stating that the EU lacked the tools to deal with the Greek debt crisis and talk of a European Monetary Fund began.
Industrial output in January in the EU recorded its biggest monthly increase on record and figures for December were radically upgraded, suggesting that the weakness seen in Q4 was just temporary
GBP/EUR movement – High’s & Low’s of last week (8th March – 12th March)
High’s: 1.1118
Low's: 1.0948
A movement of 1.55%
Difference on £200,000
High: EUR 222,360
Low: EUR 218,960
Difference of: EUR 3,400
Whilst FX isn't the most thrilling of subjects, the sooner you begin to think about your money transfers, the more likely you are to make your money go further.
