Have you ever heard of Porton Down the germ warfare establishment ? Toilets in India are to avoided unless you are wearing a gas mask, rubber boots and gloves.Another point avoid the mens toilet in Victoria Station in Mumbai unless you want to lose your underpants and your virginity.....!

Hehehe
I've seen a few here too. And the open ones without seats... basically just hole in the floor....
I just can't figure out How
(I'm a female I should point out.) Usually ending up balancing undergarments on top of head... and hope they don't fall off.
We drive up to Thailand (from Malaysia) regularly and we've actually input all the good loos on our GPS

+ The weather
+ Driving round country lanes on the motorbike through small villages with the smell of the Feni stills wafting through the air.
+ The food and the choice of foods available
+ Seeing old faces that always remember your name
- The greed of some people and how they have changed over the last 13 years of visiting.
- The garbage and dogs everywhere
- Taxi drivers at hotels, God forbid you use your driver that you have used for the last 6 years
- Parading of the children from El shaddai on Calangute beach and being pestered for donations from the volunteers.
Got to say the pluses still stack up favorably against the minuses, plus my thick skin can handle most things in Goa. I also feel pretty safe in Goa and able to go about my business without feeling threatened as I have done in other places I have visited.
