+ Clouds of small butterflies as I walk down the front path
- Power cuts several time a day, sometimes for hours.
- Small bat somehow got in during power cut - clang! collided with fan when power came on.
+ Picked it up in a towel and took it outside - instant recovery.
- Drivers turning right and completely blocking my way 'cos I'm still on the left hand side of the road at a junction.

Positives -Breakfast on the balcony, watching the birds and butterflies
eating fresh rolls delivery by the bread boy, together with the
daily papers.
Guaranteed to be warm and sunny.
Fantastic Restaurants offering huge variety of food.
Fresh Fruit - so cheap.
Happy smiling faces of old Goan friends.
Sunbeds with Shack just behind for refreshments.
Meeting friends I have made on B.E.
Negatives Snakes.
Passing the Cows on the waste land near the beach.
Mossies
Gossips already spreading gossip.
Honking Horns.
Ear cleaning man in night market. :curse:

Geez.... what's an ear cleaning man?

This is a nice thread Noni. I might nick the idea and do one in Malaysia forum. What's your commission rate?

Ear cleaning - is a grubbly little man with a stick which he pokes into your ear without your permission and shows you wax on it. Then wants to charge you to clean your ears, very dangerous. I had just had a major op in UK on my ear went to Anjuna Market and this guy came up behind me - O

What about Public Toilets? Negative?
Over in the parallel universe (Malaysia forum) where we're repeating the Positives & Negatives, someone mentioned Public Toilets as Negative. They're not too great in Malaysia, pretty grim actually, and not much better in Thailand either. What about in Goa?
