I got 5minutes in and felt sick. If this is what they are portraying, no wonder people are disappointed when they come.

And the smoothie voice-over man couldn't pronounce "C"'s at the beginning of words, so we had Galangute, Golva, gottages etc.
But it was all a load of grap anyway..........

Hmmm back from holiday and have to say as a first time to India, I was shocked by the amount of rubbish just at the side of the roads and in the fields.
I have to admit it took me a couple of days to see past the rubbish and see the real beauty of the surrounding area.
We didn't end up staying in the hotel mentioned! We were at the Royal Palms Resort, which looked pretty shoddy when I first got there, having had no sleep for 24 hours, but by day 2 (with the kids loving the pool) I was much less grumpy!
We did visit the elephants, and the kids were definitely wet (see photo).
Didn't manage to do the boat ride, as the kids just enjoyed bumbling about the pool all day eating cheese toasted sandwiches, and husband and I enjoyed drinking copious amounts of Kingfisher round said pool
Did see a bit of the place, and enjoyed visiting the beach, which was within walking distance of the resort, was funny watching the sellers running off at the sniff of a tourist police car. Even the kids (2 year old included) were shouting "NO" when someone came up to us.
Will definitely come back to Goa and visited the hotel we thought we were staying at, which was lovely, and wouldn't mind going back there in the future.
Thanks for all your input and advice, we definitely haggled plenty.
Thanks again, until next time....

Hi MM
I wish the govt of Goa would wake up and CLEAN UP !
I am really glad you had a good time - and the kids sure look like they are having fun - that is one experience they will never forget and will be telling their friends at school about. Lovely piccie by the way - but hey where are you ? lol
It is a sad factor that the first thing people see when they come to Goa for the first time is the garbage, and like msj5 says, I am glad you got to see past that as unfortunately many people don't.
