Many thanks to all who have replied to this post......
Some have been helpful - and I look forward to 'hanging out' at the places mentioned!
Some have been encouraging - Thanks Noni your feedback has been most welcome - you lessened the 'blow' as I almost regret posting in the first place!! My post was as simple as wanting to find a place to hang out.. and having bothered to read about what was happening in Goa, I thought about maybe putting heads together to eventually helping each other out (through free advise via my Lawyer who is very efficient in these matters, I have used him in various developments in India without a probleim thus far!)
Some have been downright pointing accusations (unfounded and possibly CLUELESS)!! to him / her all I got to say is that get a life and chill out! If you are so stressed in Goa (As I gather from your posts) , then there is no hope....

Finally I must add:
Yes, I have developed properties at various places
Yes, I have good legal teams in place
No, I am not an agent (I do not advertise my properties- they are sold by word of mouth / repeat clients who possibly sell on, and I currently DO NOT wish to sell any more apartments in Goa as I intend to keep the remainder for myself)

Having lived the Goan experience many many times myself, I must add that I wish you all (whatever your designation) all the best going forward and hope you enjoy the excellent hospitality of the good people you are fortunate to live amongst!

Hi I forgot Ah Goa, passed Nerul on the left hand side, (they told us) they were open during Monsoon. J5 will be back in
Goa in a few weeks so he will be able to advise you, but I expect where ever you go it will be quiet. Calengute will probably have more open than Candolim

Can you point those of us who are so dispondent to a good lawyer, or any information would be gratefully received. People are angry as they are loosing their savings, they had looked forward to retiring/spending our winter in Goa and now stand to loose everything through no fault of their own. We all had different Advocates, mine was one of those who Andy _ has great faith in but we are ALL in the same mess.

Stick around we could all help each other.

Hi,
My clients are FN's and have either PIO cards or OCI cards and there has been no issues registering for them in the past. I must add we have not attempted any registrations within the last year, and will be able to find out more once I am in Goa.

Ah! we now see why you are not having any difficulty PIO and OCI don't have any problems. It is us FN with no indian family heritage that are having all the difficulties. You would see for yourself the problems if you
sold to a pure FN.

and there's me thinking that a_f_d was being 'layred' - a hairdressing term, as in 'layers & colours' - I'd thought Andy was there, having the works at 'Snips' sending messages from his crackberry, I mean blackberry!
