Sent a little something to Keith Vaz the other day, he is not my MP but it can't do any harm, I did get an sutomatic reply form his office so I know it got through. I have just e-mailed David Miliband and directed him to this discussion forum, as you say the more we hassle the better.

Lets keep this press momentum going, remember " YOUR PROPERTY NEEDS YOU:thumbsup:" The FCO office email for Miliband is the best one to aim for him.

Also worth goan for ( sorry) is ; [email protected]

And I have sent an email to Jeremy Vine Radio 2 on; [email protected]

So whoever has been affected by this GreatGoan property con :curse: now is the chance to at least gain some real media exposure to this dire situation, don't just sit there and think its all over ! We can if we put our minds to it at least EXPOSE the guilty !!!!

Re: GOA - Buyer Beware!

I have watched the property market develop over the years in Goa and i can perfectly understand why people want to retire to Goa.As for Congress, well its always been associated with corruption. W***y D,S**** ( Cant use names directly)a leading Light , was the one who built the horrible box bridge in Bagga. He is also part owner of The calypso Night Club in Bagga and The West End Club in Porverim. All the evidence points to a land grab by vested interests. They are using the newspapers to whip up public opinion and pseudo political parties to give them legitimacy in the public eye.If what i have read is true regarding FEMA on this forum then i would advise, what the Americans call a class action, against these vested interests by going to the High Court In Mumbai as a group, not as individuals. For one thing its cheaper and the second one is it will tie them up in litigation too. Most of those involved will shy away because they know they cannot manipulate the High Court In Mumbai, as they have manipulated the Goan newspapers, but more importantly they will have to bear some of the costs if they decide to fight the judgements handed down if they go against them, which on the evidence i think will.Their motives are pure greed and greed diminishes if it reduced by over heads to lawyers !Get together as group, hold a general meeting and get your self a descent lawyer.Try the one that Fiona McKeowan used, he seems to very upright and not the usual bag of nasty tricks out for the money. Not all Indians are corrupt and not all Goans are too. From what i have picked up from the online press in the letters pages, quite a number of Goans are fed up to the teeth with self serving politicians who just want to line their pockets or their relatives with other peoples money.Do it as a group and i think you will find a deep well of sympathy with your lot from the ordinary Goan people. To clarify matters i have never owned property in Goa. I have always rented so i have no vested interests at all in what happens. I am just concerned at the injustice of whats
happening to you.Go to the courts as a group though and watch them back off.Good luck.

:thumbsup:Got home tonight and found a letter from our MP and it was personnaly signed! We are impressed at the rapid response since we only mailed him on Monday via WriteToThem (posted previously). He expresses concern at our situation (well they always do don't they) and confirms that he has written to David Miliband to raise the points that we brought to his attention and ask what steps can be taken BY THE GOVERNMENT to resolve our concerns. He assures us he will be in touch when he has a reply. So watch this space (but don't hold your collective breaths). Nevertheless we must keep up the pressure.
We have written to Mr. Vine and await a response. Keep the faith, we may yet turn this around - even if its only to get our money back (not what we really want but hey).
Regards to all, we may yet be sharing one of these, beer:
