Hello Roy and Pat,
thank you for your Christmas greetings! I hope that you have a wonderful Christmas in Goa! I visited Danika at the beginning of November with a friend who also bought a house there. I may even have poped into your house? Mine is nowhere near to be tiled yet as it is an "later edition"
My next visit is now going to be in mid Feb as i have committments here that prevent me to come earlier. So if you are still there then, I would love to meet.
As you will have gathered I did not get your tel. number as it was removed.
Let's hope we will meet there in our houses next Christmas! Do you think it is realistic for the whole site?
Best wishes, sirpa

As I mentioned in my edit, you are able to contact members via PM's (Private Messages) where you can share such personal information as telepone numbers etc. That way the whole world doesn't get to see your private contact info.

You can find details of how to use private messaging here

Hi Sirpa
Sorry for the delay in responding, but we have been busy of late. However, we are still thinking very seriously about buying a property in Goa, with an aim to moving there by next year. The plan then is to spend 6-9months in Goa and the rest in UK.

Our plan is to buy a smaller/cheaper house in UK to release a modest capital to enable us to buy in Goa. We are interested that you are now an agent for property developers and wonder if you have any details of properties you could send us.
Look forward to hearing from you
Regards
Libby & John Fox

Hi Sirpa,
So sorry about the telephone no. I thought I was sending a pm and not an open message. I will send it to you again when I have the mobile with me. We are here till 15th Feb. Getting rather concerned about the completion dates. We were given a date of July 2005 for phase I when we visited last Jan and while the builder is making a good job of it, he still hasnt finished - the windows are just going in and a guess there must be another 6 weeks work. He says he will then switch his labour to Phase II. So given that Phase II is not at the same stage as Phase I was this time last year, we are getting rather concerned that he will complete any where near time. Our next stage payment is due when the roof is completed, and we are doubtful if he will complete this stage before we return. Any way we will hope to keep you posted. Kind regards from pat and roy

Hi Sirpa
Thanks for the email and offer of tickets. Unfortunately, we were away and could not get to the exhibition. we will, however, look at your website and see what's available.
We will keep in touch.

Goa is a fabulous place, with wonderful people but bear in mind that things happen in 'Indian time';that goes for building especially.

Take any estimated completion time and double it-you'll be about right!!

Hello and warm greetings from Goa where I am for a few weeks now!
I certainly think you should vistit Goa first if you area plannign to move as a family.
School year in Goa is from June to march, April and May are holiday months. There area many english speaking small good private schools, entry fee around 40 pounds, monthly fees around 12-15 pounds, plus uniforms etc. Cost of living is very cheap, but so are local salaries, but if you have income from Uk you will live well. June-Aug are the monsoon months and very dirreent from the picture post cards of Goa, so you need to be sure you want to be hee then.
I will be visiting two schools in Northe Goa this week, so will know more then. There are also good schools in South Goa. You need to decide where you want to be/live, North or South, as they are very different in many ways.
Hope this helps a bit to start with,
best wishes,
sirpa

, Hi Karen and Cliff,
Yes we are buying in Danika Residency - no 2 phase 2, so we are delighted to meet you. Have met a few others buying there, so it is good for us all to keep in touch. We were pleased to hear of good progress; they were so behind on the first phase 7/8 months, but he does a good quality build. We are due to speak to him again this week, so should have more news. If you want to chat on the phone, or by email, about anything that is not of general interest to the forum, just send a private message to me on the forum with your tel.no/email address. Best wishes from Pat and Roy
