Greetings all, Am seriously thinking about moving to Goa when I retire and would welcome any information at all. Thanking you in antisipation, John

well not been for a few years but i would say it's a lovely place to settle..good weather -except the stormy season and lovely people

personaly i would head to south goa as it's less built up and quieter..less hippies for sure ;-)!!

Thanks Richard, was good to hear from you. Yes, know about the south and the weather. Any idea's where I can get more specific information such as tax's and property purchase ?

Hi John, my wife and I have just joined this group as we are also thinking of retiring to Goa within the next two years.

We would be interested to keep in touch and hear how you get on and if you could pass on any tips/advice.

Off the West coast of India....it's sort of classed as an island, but it's actually attached to India..though seperate from India in that it's independent.....lovely place...mostly touristy though,

So is this place cheap to live? Is there work there for expats?

All I have seen is people on the beach chilling!

Sounds very appealing!
