Have just been re reading some of your posts regarding things "you think" I have inferred. Don't ask any more, I have had enough. I know what I think, what is in my heart, regarding Indians/Goans etc. if you cannot accept criticism of the Indian culture - I give up.

Noni if I am wrong about what you think I profoundly apologise.

Of course I can accept criticism of many, many aspects of Indian culture.

All I ask is to look a little wider, it is a very diverse nation with much good along with the bad, and all are not the same as some of the riff-raff you have been unfortunate to meet.

I am proud to be Indian as well as British.

You have got to respect that this is a GOAN THREAD and people are responding to how they have been treated in GOA, I must agree with them, so many have been treat like complete idiots, the indians thinking that they can take, take, and take again and again. I say, indians, as not all the traders, taxi drivers are Goan, some are out of state Indians, and take holiday makers for a ride.

I cannot speak to highly of one, who came as soon as he knew my predicament, came to the hospital at Benalium, sorted out all the paperwork sat with me until we got the plane home. This Goan we have known since he was 14,well over 18 years, he has been loyal to us, never asked for anything.

Thankfully this coming season I will not be expected to spend time in that particular hotel as I won't be in the company of a particular loser who was foolish enough to want to buy a place in such a grotty and dirty establishment.
That way I can be spared the rather unsavoury view of Russians having threesomes on balconies with the lights on for all to see or them having sex in the pool with the hotel proprietor - an extremely unpleasant sight !!
I have even heard from Taxi drivers who have had Russians start doing the business in the back of cabs !! Appreciate not all Russians are like this but Goa certainly attracts plenty of these exhibitionists !

Dread - x

I have a close friend who works for the BBC and about 5 years ago they were doing research for a Panorama programe regarding serious child pornography on the internet.Over 60% of what was freely available on the net came from Russia. That says quite alot about the moral decay in that nation since communism failed.Thailand produces around 20% and thats says alot too !

Why can the police not just admit it is a racially based crime and stop pussyfooting around it. If it was white gangs preying on Asian victims the racist part of it would be included in the charges not ignored.

Obviously you are right, but I wish the report headlines would be more specific regarding the gang's identity instead of just using the word 'Asians'.

Yes they are Asian but this word covers so many nationalities. Sri Lankan, Malaysian, Indian, Chinese etc. etc.

The perpetrators are Pakistani and Afghan Muslim individuals who have no respect for females.

I imagine we would be upset at being included in French crime as we are Europeans.

I must say I am nervous even at my advanced age using the taxis at our local rail station which are manned by Pakistani men from the next town.
Particularly after I was taken on an amazing roundabout route apparently to double the price. (Which is me possibly being prejudiced about them all)

Sorry, where is this? I am going to be renting a place for a few months in Candolim for the upcoming season. What places should I be avoiding? Looked at a couple of units at the Highland last time I was there.

You know what I meant; Asia is a continent, 'Asians' could be from any part of it. The men in question were from the country of Pakistan.

Britain is part of the 'continent' of Europe. Britain, Uk, England whatever; are part of it. Or which continent did you think Britain was part of?

Don't understand the second part of your post. (I was referring to family and loyalty).

I suppose my children are Asian and European in origin. So if they commit a serious crime I don't know how the Daily Mail will report it??

The DM uses the value of your house as a determiner if your ethnic origin is unclear.
